The 99 up intake is a upgrade but can give you problems with headers fitting with out grinding and or beating on.

Strip engine bay, shave, smooth, paint with POR15 (black or white looks best IMHO), tuck and organize wiring, get rid of unnecessary items, spectre cowl snorkel, move all fuses/relays and ignition coil into interior inside glove box, move all breather hoses into cowl, remote winch controller in cab, and move the battery to the rear of the Jeep. Just a few ideas I usually do when doing a swap.

I would say if you have the money get a new crank postion sensor, header, intake, engine mounts, injectors,electric fans, replace the torx bolts on the top of the bell housing with hex heads, bored thorttle body,new water pump.

yes I have a/c. im doing the mounts , injectors, exhaust, what I need to know is what is a good intake upgrade ? who makes one and whare to get ? also do the throttle body spacers give a good upgrade or is there anything elts intake upgrade related I can do ?

Apn header is a popular choice
99 & up intake from a junk yard
703 injectors
Brown dog motor mounts
New o2 sensors for the exhaust (check out rockauto)
All new gaskets
Depending on how far you are going and how willing you are you could always do a small cam upgrade with new rocker and pushrods and valve springs and what not
Rear main seal if its easily accessible

Don't want that ac? Go for on board air
Tranny cooler
I think a 3 row radiator will fit (can't remember how that goes its been a while)
All new hoses

so I picked out the exhaust from performance curve, im looking for the brown dog motor mounts, doing the 703 injectors, the motor I am installing is a "0-miles rebuilt motor" so I wont be changing the cam and lifters and all that anytime soon,,,,(hopfully) just looking for some "bolt on" intake upgrades, not going for any JY stuff, don't know if anybody make a upgraded intake manifold or not ,,,,,,thanks for all the great ideas, keep em comming

Throttle body spacer is snake oil it does nothing,When you say intake do you mean intake manifold or like the intake from the filter to the throttle body?Intake manifold the 99 up and the other one a cowl intake/snorkel look at spectre brand or http://shop.trailheadoffroad.ihostne...ctid=XJCI91-01 and the thor brand has a bigger filter it looks like.

I see that. Not seeing anywhere that is within my willingness to pay selling them though. Or something.

I should do the alternator though. Pulling motor today provided I don't get distracted.
