I've been searching for days and my head is spinning. I have until Monday to order my new wheel/tire combo and I'm stuck. I live in Nevada, and my Jeep is my DD, although I work from home so, it doesn't see a ton of street driving and I'm not concerned with noise. I wheel it on the weekends, mostly desert, but I like to go up to the mountains and play in the snow as well. No rock crawling. It probably doesn't see enough mud to truly warrant a MT, (only when it rains which is not much) but hey, they look sweet.
I like the BFG KM2s, Firestone Destination MTs, Goodyear MT/Rs (but think the sidewall is kinda ugly) I'm also not ruling out TrXus, Dick Cepek, or Mickey Thompson, I just don't have experience with them.
I'm also looking for something that has an aggressive look (I think the old BFG KMs were beautiful looking, better than the KM2s). I don't really want an A/T. I had BFG AT KOs on my last Jeep and they were really nice, but took some abuse on the trail.
I know its 6 to 1 half dozen to the other, and it would be hard to find someone thats compared them all, I'm just looking for some thoughts.
I'm leaning towards the KM2s but their poor ice/snow ratings have me shying away a little... since a big reason for upgrading (besides the blowout) is that I hit some snow/ice in the mountains a couple weekends ago and was slippin all over the place. (although I'm sure anything would be better than the GY Wranglers I have on there now)
Lemme know what you guys think, whats worked for you, etc.

M/T's generally don't do as well in the Snow/Ice, But you could always get them siped at a tire shop, that would make a HUGE difference. That's what all my buddies do around here that run Swampers in the winter.
I would vote on the KM2's. Everything that i've seen says that they are the best all around tire.

I pushed my K ME 2s threw 2 feet of fresh snow walked right threw it aired down. and I've wheeled them hard in snow and ice no issues. I like them but if your mostly in the dirt MTs are a little agressive for it. I'd look for a hybrid tire. Goodyear Duratracks are a great DD trail tire

I have GY workhorse xg's which the duratracs are replacing. Great on road and mud. Havn't had a chance to run them in snow yet but have heard they do great in it.

I think I'm pretty much sold on the Duratracs now, seem like the best all around tire for my needs and the price difference is enough to sway it as well.

i have had trxus m/ts,dura tracs,km2s,hankook dynapros,
trxus m/t: great on/offroad handling, kinda noisy, kick *** in the snow, don't last long....
dura tracs: great in snow, great handling, quieter, more of an a/t imo.. on my 2500hd
km2: great tire, not real noisy, good life, my customers all love them, i sold the jeep they were on
hankook dynapros: quiet as a m/t can get, great on/offroad,so far pound for pound *** tough as the km2s and perform as well in the trails not as good in sticky mud. good tread life, better in rain then most

the only two tires i have ever ran, i couldn't ever complain about
Mickey thompson Baja Claws, and Goodyear MT/R's. both amazing tires. goodyears aren't as good in mud conditions, but both last a long time, and perform well anywhere.

Not sure how much your tire shop would charge. It's not to bad, makes a huge difference in the snow and ice. You can do it anytime in the tires life.

Bridgestone REVO have always been my AT tire of choice. Great on all surfaces.
Hear great things about the GY duratrac also.
For my price and tire size, I have been looking at the Falken Wildpeak AT tires.

my only experience with MTs are procomp MTs and TrXus
both work exceptionally well in the snow
someone earlier in the thread said that MTs generally arent great in the snow, but all of my experience says otherwise. then again ive only used two different MTs so that may explain why.
i was planning on getting KM2s when i upgrade to 33s, but this thread has me questioning that now...
