Motor Mounts...You decide
For a DD that will never see a day of off-road in its life.. do you guys recommend a mount that is as tough as these?
I figured when i went to replace my mounts.. I would just use a stocker like ANCHOR... not really looking for engine vibrations.. I would rather have it smoother
Edit: Just started reading the brown dog site... Its talking about the differences..

yeah... to tell you the truth I havent put alot of thought into changing the mounts yet. Just figured its one of those things that I will be doing down the road. So these were an option next to stock style. After reading, it looks like the rubber should dampen vibrations well. And you are correct, having a stronger than stock part always gives you the warm and fuzzy knowing it wont fail.

Brown Dog polys in both my XJs, just be prepared to wait. It took me about 3 weeks to get my first set and a month to get my second. The quality of the mounts makes them worth the wait though

Correct.
You have to unbolt the crossmember to do the motor mounts anyways, so you might as well do the trans mount cause it is right there. OEM replacement part is good for the trans mounts. Motor mounts you can upgrade if you want to.
New t-mount on the left. Old shot up one on the right.

I've had the Brown Dogs rubber and poly, Prothane, and custom mounts from Rigwerks. Rigwerks was the best, but they aren't doing Jeep stuff anymore. The Prothane mounts are easily as good as Brown Dog, cheaper and can be found at a few places on the net.

Interesting. I was able to get in my Brown Dogs without doing so. I guess it wouldnt hurt if that's what the instructions say...
I've heard great things about the BrownDog ones too, but has anyone had any luck getting them in anything other than that terrible yellow color? I've never asked but when I do order a set, I'm going to try and get them without paint, stickers or a signature. There is no way I'd install them as is.
