Ok so I have a 96 xj sport with power windows but they're non heated. Today I picked up 98 xj mirrors and they're both power and heated. How would I run a switch in my xj so I can have heated mirrors?

I'm in a similer boat with power non heated mirrors from a 97+ trying to hook them into the older chassis.

Atleast you have the wires, I would start with some stock wiring diagrams for both vehicles to see if you can match up which wires go where and see what you are left with.

On a 97, they feed off the rear defroster circuit. The defroster switch turns them on at the same time. I agree that looking at 97+ XJ wiring and adapting that would probably serve you best.

i got the "power" part wired in but what i found is that the motors work opposite the way u push the button... up/down=left/right and left/right=up/down... my only problem is there is no place for the heating aspect... ur idea might work though... ill give it a shot
