Ok so I have a 96 xj sport with power windows but they're non heated. Today I picked up 98 xj mirrors and they're both power and heated. How would I run a switch in my xj so I can have heated mirrors?

just realized i screwed this up... ok so lets try again...
i have a 96 xj with power mirrors but they were kinda crappy so i got 98 xj mirrors which were also power but a lil bigger... my problem is they are heated and the ones i had werent... if there anyway to hook the non-used wires so the heat on the mirrors will work?

I'm in a similer boat with power non heated mirrors from a 97+ trying to hook them into the older chassis.
Atleast you have the wires, I would start with some stock wiring diagrams for both vehicles to see if you can match up which wires go where and see what you are left with.

On a 97, they feed off the rear defroster circuit. The defroster switch turns them on at the same time. I agree that looking at 97+ XJ wiring and adapting that would probably serve you best.
