Default Metalcloak Upper and Lower Control Arms Cherokee XJ

I have been looking at them for about a year now and pulled the trigger on uppers and lowers Veterans Day since they offered free shipping and also honored my military discount.

I am running a 2" OME lift, sway bar disconnect and factory control arms. I am interested in seeing the difference that these provide with both on road ride quality and off road performance.

Does anyone else have any feedback on their pros and cons from personal experience?

They are a little pricy at between $450 to $600 depend which sets you get.

Should ride somewhere between a Bentley and a Rolls for that price

They are supposed to be as soft as factory and flexible as a Johny joint or similar.

are they really going to make it ride better? i don't see how. or are they meant to be stronger and give you adjustability?

Lucky, I wanted those but scored on some used teraflex adjustables. I did use there duroflex rebuild kit for the teraflex monster joint and the ride quality and flex is awesome. No body on the forum that has them has anything bad to say. enjoy

And?

So other than a link to a web site what's your actual input.

I've had them on my truck for about 8-9 months now, flawless.

I had several discussions with Andy, the builder, and he convinced me to go with the poly bushings, good choice.

My front end is very tight and quiet. Andy's collars are tapered and preloaded, the only ones that are, I suspect that alone will triple the lifespan of the polys.

As to JJs on short arms? If you are looking for more articulation you should be looking at long arms anyway.

So these are just basic industry standard clevit ends? Not like tetaflex, Johnny joints or duroflex?

You can't look for better performance with short arm?

They are a rubber bushing that is designed to flex.

Did you watch the video I think that is a clevite correct?

So that bushing that was designed to flex how does it compare to a joint that was designed to flex.

Just wondering if you had any updates on how the metalcloak control arms have performed and held up.

6 year old thread so you probably won’t get an answer from the OP.
Anyway, Metal Cloaks performance and durability are top notch on or off road. I run their upper and lowers with Johnny Joints on the upper axle side. Not trying to start a flex joint debate. Just my experience.
