Default Manual to power windows? buying new doors

What's up guys, my 89 has power windows and locks but the doors are rusted out around the handles. I have a lead on a clean set of doors that are manual windows and locks. I'm assuming I can just swap everything from my doors into the new ones? Or is this a complicated/time consuming job? Thanks -Paul

Oh and I forgot to mention that the doors ARE the same style pre 96.

I literally just finished switching to manuel doors yesterday. Forbid I have a 2000 xj, but the concept is the same. I'm not sure if you are wanting to take off and replace your doors with the new manuel ones, If so continue reading because that is what I did. But as far as taking everything out of your old doors and put the new stuff in, I'm not too sure. But swapping is an easy thing to do if you have a buddy to help hold the door (I did not and was struggling). Also I'm pretty sure you can swap out the locking mechanism into the manuel doors relatively easyily. I haven't done it yet, but I heard its doable.

Other than that, all you should need to take off the hinges is a T40 torx bit and a wratchet. Took me a day to do, like i said i was alone. The only thing I had an issue with is the wiring. There are a ton of wires for the two front doors, so do it correctly and unplug the wiring harness instead of choping through it all like I did. Because later if you want to wire your speakers in the new doors its gonna be hard finding the right wires (atleast for me it was since Chrysler made some changes to the wiring, or im just ignorant lol).

The only other issue I had was spacing the doors so they sit level and latch and close/open correctly. I had to put some spacer brackets behind the hinges to make it sit level and not catch on the edge of the other door. They should have them already on there, so you'll see what I'm talking about.

I'm sure there is a write up on here somewhere to help guide you through the process, or of course google it.

Good luck!
My manuel doors are so awesome, by by broken window motors!

Well I picked up all four manual doors today! Thinking I might just bolt them on and leave my factory power wiring tucked aside.. Looks like a PITA to swap everything from door to door
