Hi, I have a 1991 XJ with manual roll up and down windows. I hate them, I want to convert to all electric windows. Can this be done ? is the wiring already there for it ? I think I have read that 91's came with an option for electric windows. what would be involved in doing this conversion ? I was thinking about hitting the local JY and see if I can fond XJ doors with everything in them I might need, but was wondering about the wiring ...has anyone done this ? and what is involved in doing this ? Thanks in advance.

 

Well I have all power and I hate it. If you were close to me I would swap you

 

No, the wiring is very likely not there. You'll have to grab the power window harness from the whole car, regulators with motors, switches, etc. Getting full power doors is a good start.

 

yep, I think I will look at the local JY for full power doors, and remove everything assocciated with the windows. I guess the harness is pretty simple, a 12 volt sourse for the master switch and a harness that goes from the master switch to all the other windows ?....any one have an idea about the harness ? is it sinple to install ? is it like I statted above ? any input would be great. Thanks in advance.
