Making a RE track fit my 6.5" lift??
Okay, I have this may have already been covered but I searched everything I could think of and found nothing. I bought a 94 xj with what I believe had a 3.5 RE lift. I then bought a 6.5" RC lift and installed it. I love the lift except for the one glaring difference which was the track bar, RE's was much beefier, but didn't look like it would fit my height. I am all done with the install and the track bar is bothering me, with $0 to spend I am thinking I can make a drop bracket for me RE tb? Has anyone done this? I don't know if there needs to be alot of measuring or if it is as simply as it sounds or if I could put 1"-2" square tubing to make a spacer or just a whole new one idk, here are some pics of what I'm working with. Side note: This is my first XJ so I don't know exactly how they should look but my steering looks like it is at a pretty extreme angle wonder if I need a pitman drop arm or if I have one if I need one that drops more. Thanks for all the help in advance!
1st two pics are the RE bar and the last one is the RC one I installed.

Well my lift came with a new track bar to compensate for the lift not a drop bracket but I wanna use the the RE track bar cause it is much thicker but I need to know how far to make the drop bracket come down in order to keep the axel (generally) centered under the jeep, I know I can make fine adjustments on the bar itself.

That track bar also came with the 4.5" lift from RE. It is decent, but will ware out quicker that the double shear style. Save the $, and just use it. They have a different track bar end (johny joint style) the works with the double shear frame track bar mount. And being that RE is under chapter 11...it will be really hard to get parts.

It seems like when I was doing the lift the RE bar wouldn't bolt up to the axel side because the angle was to extreme thats why I need a drop bracket but sounds like I just need to get back under there and take another look at it. As for buying a new drop bracket and track bar, that is out cause no $$$ I'm just looking to fab something up to make what I got better.

THANKS, this sounds like a fix for me, I could just buy the end and the drop brack (or try and make one), then if/when the track bar breaks, bends or just wears out I will be set up for a heavy duty bar.

Do you think this would work. Idk how to tell if the threads would be the same? Or could I just get a johny joint end from a tractor supply company?

it should as long as the thread direction and size thread are the same, why cant you just center you axle and adjust the bar you have out and bolt back up ? should not be this big change is needed

I guess I didn't think of that when I was doin the lift I was in a big hurry, but I think thats what I'm gonna do just get under there and see if it will work. I shouldn't need another alignment for that should I? Thats what i hate about working on the front of the jeep is idk what will require realignment and what you can "get close"?
