Too bad you don't live near Jersey. I'm going to OK4wd today for truckfest. While I'm there I'm going to see if someone wants the Powertrax No-Slip I took out of my 8.25 - 29. It never worked in my rear, it was worse than the open rear. Far worse. Richmond Gear was very unhelpful, and rude.
The guys here said I broke a tab on installation.
It came out unbroken or damaged. First $100 takes it. If not it is going to the scrap pile. Mine is a DD also, I put in a LSD. Nice find on the rear. Now you need a D30 with the same gearing.

It didn't work. I had a couple of people with 4x4 drive it, and they said it didn't work. Torque steer, and spinning one tire. Richmond Gear said the housing was bad. At that point you are SOL. It won't work, and you just wasted $400. The shop even called Richmond Gear after I did. I thought maybe they would talk to a shop better than they did to me.They were no help to them either. I bit the bullet, and put the Auburn LSD in. You do have to set up the rear for that though. Doesn't matter now, I just gave it away today, at OK4wd Truckfest. The guy I gave it to said he knew someone who would try it. Hope they have better luck with it. You get what you pay for!!!

I've installed them in my rig, my son's rig, and at least a dozen others. I've never had one fail to operate exactly as advertised....NEVER.
You are the only person that I've read about that claimed to have one that was properly installed and still did not work.
freegdr,
You won't find a more reliable lunchbox locker than the NoSlip. I've run 'em in Moab and all over Colorado without any failures of any kind. It's damn near invisible on the street and very predictable.

I understand a lockers place, but in the rear I hate them. I'd rather have a full case spool or a LSD. Atleast with an lsd, you don't feel it engage. I understand a locker smokes an lsd offroad, but just blabbing an opinion lol. I had a lunchey in the rear of my zj, and hated it.
Tire wear is normal. Ofcourse I don't spend all my time turning and I don't turn at high speeds because its a jeep, but I don't notice any super wear increases. I've ran welded on alot of different vehicles over the years tires from 235 - 60 all the way to 31's. I plan on doing it on 33's and maybe 35s on this rig.

aussie locker update ...there having to wait for the steel mill in australia to produce the grade steel that it takes to cast them no production date in site
It may have been one of the best, but it didn't work. It was the third one I installed. One in a Ford Ranger for my son, and one in a Ramcharger for a friend. They both worked fine. That's why I did listen to the place I bought it, and purchased it. I'm really glad y'all have had good luck with the ones you have. The point is if you buy it, and it doesn't work you are SOL. At least if the cones wear out on my LSD, I still have an open rear I can drive till I replace it.
