Gonna replace the 2" shackles with stock and adjust the front spacers down. The PO stacked 2" of lift to a RE 4.5" lift kit. What's going to be the most difficult part of this? Will I need to adjust my tracbar at all? Lowering XJ. Adjust tracbar too?-image-1146172489.jpg

Most likely, yes. So I would plan on at least measuring your front axle position once you get the ride height where you want it., and then you will know for sure!

Once you've got the rig lowered (hardest part will probably be getting the tension off those coils to turn those ACOS's down), then measure each side, frame to outside edge of tire. The measurements should be the same, letting you know the axle is centered. If it is not, then adjust the trackbar until it is.

Whenever you change ride height the axle needs to be realigned via the trackbar. But based on the pictures you posted already I'm kind of skeptical the trackbar was adjusted over 4.5" in the first place. Does it have an aftermarket track bar?

I've learned that if you disconnect the track bar frame side and then wiggle, push up, and down, the front etc.... The front will align itself straight and center the axle itself. Then adjust the track bar to fit in the new location and its good.

Do you have adjustable control arms? If so you may want to get it on an alignment machine and check the caster too.

The two shackle bolts could potentially give you some issues. Make sure to use pb blaster on everything for atleast a week in advance

Edit: yes the track bar should be adjusted. Also, it may be easier to disconnect the control arms to let the axle droop enough for the coils to drop out a bit.
