Question Loose Lower Control Arm...

Could this be the culprit of the clanging noise coming from the front pass side every time I hit a pothole? Everything else was inspected & good to go as this was the only thing that could be the cause as it appears to be the front LCA??

It could be, get something to pry with and check it out. Make sure you look to see whether the bolt is loose or the bushing is shot if it moves.

There's no tightening it unless I take it off & maybe wrap a bunch of Teflon tape round the threads to stop the noise, but not sure how safe that would be. I still have short arms on a 6.5 lift & 35"s so there at there limit.

A long arm kit is too much green plus i'd rather build one myself & save cost. With that said, best way to build the body mounts would be after i put on my ruff stuff stiffeners that are still in my shed & that's a lot of down time even tho I have another car!

I found this guys writeup where he built em for around $3bills which IS affordable: http://www.xjtalk.com/showthread.php?t=3080 but I need a quick fix cause im preparing to move...
