Looking to put some new parts in my 4.0 and do a tune up on my engine
I have 2000 jeep cherokee and I'm looking into doing a tuneup. Any tips or recommendations on what I should do?

Welcome to the forum!
Most tune-ups include spark plugs, wires on your model the coil packs need to be checked. You need to see if there are codes showing in ECU that need to be taken care of first. If this a new XJ for you a few other things need to be done on one this age also. They are check the head for cracks to see if it has been replaced (a known problem in 00/01 models).
The cooling system usually need replacement also a new radiator, fan clutch, rad cap, thermostat, cooling system/heater core flush. All the fluids should be changed from front to back both differentials, oil, filter, trans, transfer case, all lube points lubed.
This should get started on things needed to do on any new purchase unless the seller gave you receipts for any of these items that he bought new in the last 2 yrs.
