Ok guys, my best friend just ran into some money and is wanting some new tires for his xj. He was goin to get some 33x12.5 (whats on there now) but now he ran across these new 35x14.5 with 15x10 mickey thompson wheels for really cheap. Ill post a pic of his jeep in the next reply (its on my phone). He has 4.5" lift (full packs) short arms w/ new upper and lower CA and its pretty flexy. Fenders are cut with a comp cut in the back. Tires he has now dont rub AT ALL even at full lock and he seems to have room. My question is, do you think these tires will fit on his cherokee with the lift he has now with the way his fenders are cut? or would they fit with maybe a BB throwed on top? heres the pics of the tires.

yeah yeah, i know this is nOOBEE but its not my jeep. If it WERE mine i'd probably just try them myself but unfortunately its not mine. Yes they will be bumpstopped correctly if they go on, but not going for low COG, he wants them to fit good and look really good.

Yep, they're bolt on, and they'll look cool, but...
Front fenders are going to need more trimming to drive it on the street without rubbing.
Does he wheel it at all? Those are big rubbers, they're rub all over that thing. Not a big deal to some people, that's his call.
It's only 2 inches more, but the size diff (side-by-side) of a 33x12.50 and a 35x14.50 is substantial, in every aspect.
What's he planning to do with his 33's he has now? Assuming he's also in N GA would he trade them for a roof rack? If so, go get them, and then get back to me!
Post some pics too.

If he ends up getting new ones my 35x12.5's dont rub and can still do tight u turns with the fenders trimmed. Plus less wear on ball joints

HE will be fine. my actual lift measures between 3.5" and 4" on 35's and its perfect. unless you dont want to trim, you dont need more than 4.5" to run 35's
heres mine next to my friends. His is on about 4.5" lift and 33's
