That's makes a lot sense, sorry I probably just confused myself. I myself have a electric in the front. Next step it's the rear. Do you recommend automatic for rear?

Either one is fine, but a selectable will behave just like an open diff when not in use. For city driving this may be preferable.

So lets say "Tate" does 50% street 50% offroad driving and only has about $400, at the moment. Get an auto? Or wait a bit longer and save for selectable?

nice website, glad im not looking for a locker its looks pretty confusing, but looks like id go with the limited slip option if its available for the xj
