Default Locker question

As thinking about getting this to lock up the front end
http://lokka.com/site/

Has anyone used it or know if it's suitable for a dd jeep?

In the front? And you've had no problems driving around town? I drive my jeep to work and the grocery store, kids schools and such and wheel on the weekends.

Default Locker question

If it is in 2wd, the front locker will not be engaged. It will work just fine.

And its only engaged when you are into the throttle, coasting it unlocks.

I have an aussie in my rear diff and it works great. Has a lot if slop when it goes into gear tho.

Thanks for the info guys. I think I'm gonna order it tomorrow. I got my diff pulled today after wheelin and I blew out all the teeth on the spline so it's rather replace that or upgrade to the lokka

Idk what they cost these days but i paid around 250 for the aussie for a 8.25.
Upgrade and cheaper than new spiders!!

They really are a rock solid ratcheting locker and easy to install, i didnt even check backlash on mine beyond the warranty specs and its all good.
Good choice bro.

Thanks. Yeah this one for my d30 up front is $198 including shipping. And I've been wanting to lock up the front for a while just so happen I blew up the spiders today so definitely goin with the locker instead of replacing spiders!

The locker aint gonna fix your axle splines, the shafts go into the locker. Kinda like sex inside a strip club.
You still need your axle splines to be in good shape or they will not go into the locker. The spider gears however get replaced by the locker.

So got the lokka installed in the front d30. There is no noticeable difference when driving around town in 2wd. 4x4 is another story. When it's in 4x4 it is almost impossible to turn the wheel to the left. Pulls to the right very hard and there is a very loud popping sound when moving forward it feels like there is a lot of resistance then it pops and resistance is gone for a second then comes right back and another loud pop??

Does it on dry pavement and loose dirt. Positive note made it up a spot I previously hadn't been able to without the locker

Is this as soon as you put it in 4x4 on dirt? Or just when you're turning at full lock?
