If price isnt a huge deal then look into selectable lockers.

I've ran both and currently run a Spartan. They work great, a little loud but you get used to it. If you can turn a wrench you can put one in. No harder than doing brakes.

i run an aussie, and like it a lot. i haven't run any other type of locker though. it is fairly quiet on the turns. and tire wear isn't too bad. you hear a clunk every now and then, but nothing bad. the traction offroad is amazing though

The Spartan is a little louder but both have worked great for me and unlike the lockright they don't need a new spring kit every 6 months and they are larger as well. I loved my Aussies and it was on backorder when I got the Spartan in my front otherwise I'd have gotten another Aussie. That being said the Spartan has not let me down and it's a little easier to install because of how the springs go in.

my vote is spartan, comes with hardened pin, a little cheaper and is slightly easier to install.

on that note, i also have a aussie and never had a single problem with it

RWKhaus in the vendor section for spartans. They are on sale now on the cheap. Comes with the hardened cross pin and no need to use thrust washers. Also, install is easy.
