Lifting my jeep without spending a grand
So I'm trying to lift my cherokee a little more because I run 33x12.50 tires on my 3.5" suspension lift... I don't have much money because this Xj drains my pocket like most do. I've been thinking about throwin a budget boost (coil blocks and shackles) on top of my suspension lift. Not sure if that's ok to do so just wanted some feedback on that. Thanks.

Oh, and you didnt specify some info about your jeep and what you use it for. Answering that can help determine if itll cost as much or just cost a lot

Heres the answer. No matter what you do, it wont be cheap. Unless you cut and fold and bumpstops accordingly. Then its not as bad Oh, and you didnt specify some info about your jeep and what you use it for. Answering that can help determine if itll cost as much or just cost a lot

I just increased my lift from 3" to 4 1/2" using 1 1/2" Boomerang Shackles and Adj. Aluminum Coil spacers, those shackles give it more flex than a 4 1/2" leaf pack. Both my leafs and coils are in excellent shape and made in NA or I would not have used them.
I ran 33x12:50x15's with my 3" lift with no problems but to much bump stop is why I changed. I guess you must already have gears/lockers for the tires I didn't and installed those with the lift also. Just a few of the things I had to add was an SYE, Shims for Differential, Driveshaft Adj. U/LCA's, Dbl. Shear Track Bar, ZJ Tie Rods, new shocks Bilstein, Gears/Lockers all told $3.5-4k+ to get it done right for that extra 1 1/2" of lift. I now have a set of 35" tires and beadlock wheels that I run on some trails and they clear also without any more trimming needed.
Several of these were a must have deal just to make it work, so its not a cheap deal keep in mind this was on top of my 3" Rustys lift.

I used what I had & it worked great. One thing I did was lay down some blue painters tape so not to scratch the paint.
Don't forget bumpstops.

I don't want to be a pot stirrer but myself and 3 of my buddies are all running the RC 4.5 lift with new leafs and we all have at least 40k on our rides. 32x11.50's and all of us kept our drive lines the same (No SYE's) along with the steering. None us us have any vibrations. Granted, we aren't hard core rock crawlers but for running around in the mud I don't see where the average Joe needs to spend that much money for a little more ground clearance. Save it for a lunchbox in the front.
