I have a 2000 jeep cherokee with a 3.5 inch rubicon express lift. I'm wanting to put a 6.5 rough country lift with 2 inch spacers in the coils and 2 inch blocks in the rear leafs. Is it possible to do this with a short arm suspension kit?

Possible? Yes. Advised? Not at all. LCA drops are needed at the least. Definitely should aim for long arms at that height.

why not just install the RC 6.5" by itself and be too tall as it is.. you're talking 8.5" on short arms? come on now. going from 3.5" rubicon to 6.5" RC would be a downgrade IMO. just upgrade the 3.5" with some flexier components

Anything over three inches gets expensive and requires some planning. Stacking lifts and using blocks will lift the vehicle, but will not perform well and be dangerous.

If you are going up over 5" you are going to want a long arm setup, over the knuckle steering, and over the axle track bar. If you do it right the first time you will end up saving money and time in the long run and you will be alot happier with what you have.

If you're going to 35's, trimming is the least of your problems. What about track bar, gears, and install. If you have the cash for those, I'd also install longarms and OTK steering.

What do you want to do with this rig? 6.5" of lift wont require TOO much trimming to fit 35s. In the end its up to you what you decide to do. We are just trying to help give you some ideas. If you decide you want to do it right the first time with long arms, OTA track bar, and crossover steering let me know. You will find that after wheelin a box kit like Rough Country for a year or 2 you will still be throwing money at the rig later replacing half of the parts.
