Heard back from the shop. It was the track bar that was causing the problem. It's new but it isn't long enough so it's pushing my axel out to the left.
I'm ordering the track bar and mount that Seriousoffroad recommended.

ch45x7, why did you replace the box, what did you find that led to that? Even though a track bar is required for the proper set up at 4.5" it shouldn't be causing such problems. My 88 with 4" is running the stock bar which has an affect on bump steer and crabbing. The symptoms you describe still sound as though it relates to steering components. Perhaps your steering column or shaft are loose. If you sit at the wheel with the ignition unlock and engine off do you get the 90 degrees of play?

I replaced the steering box because of excessive play in the wheel. This play covered up the track bar issue. The axel is now 2" off because the track bar is too short to keep it centered. This caused the sloppy left turn issue.
The mechanic that's working on it has lots of experience with lifted jeeps and trucks. I trust what he's telling me.

Not certain about replacing the box with play in the wheel? One should replace the box because there is play in the box. Hopefully that is the case and you misspoke. You needed a track bar anyway so that is good to replace. Let us know how it turns out. By the way you might want to have a talk with the alignment professional who did the previous work because no professional should say he can align a vehicle with an axle 2" out. To do so is to take your money, a thorough of all parts should be conducted prior to any alignment as bad parts will not allow a proper job.
