I would never recommend that TB that comes in that kit. Its a terrible design compared to a double shear TB.

It was an attempt at getting more flex out of the TRE designed TB frame mount. Granted it did flex more at the time but now with double shear TBs and mounts. It is an outdated design. It is weaker and just does not have the range of flex the double shear has.

i've been window shopping for a while...and if i can pull it off i'll be going with BDS
would love to find their 4.5 or 6.5 at a more easily affordable price...

i'll be staying away from the short-arm stuff and heading right to an LA kit
i've "visually" compared BDS to RE and imo the somewhat small diff in price seems reasonable

and agreed...when you're looking to spend some big bucks spend it wisely and once

This was on the ZJ I bought off a friends daughter. Broke while she was driving down the road.

I've heard Zone is a really good company too

Zone is actually made by BDS. Ive bought stuff from BDS and Zone, and on the paperwork, it had both company names printed. Really about the only difference is the warranty. They tend to stand behind BDS stuff a little more. Ive had Zone leaf packs on my jeep for about a year now and before, they were on a friends jeep for 2 years and wheeled hard. No sag in them at all

Glad to hear nobody got hurt, or worse, in that situation. A friend had the lower axle mount bolt break on his RC track bar while doing almost 70mph. He said it was the scariest thing he ever experienced. He was able to get it off to the side of the highway
