Lift time!!!

So ive been looking at 4.5in lifts for my 01 xj and would like some recommendations on whats out there i just dont trust online reviews because of "rating boosters" im not afraid of spending money on a lift after dealing with my 04 wj that i rolled because of death wobbles... So whats your recommendation?

4.5" rough country. You can get a 4.5" set up with add-a-leafs or full leaf springs
Heres the link for add-a-leaf kit:
http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-sus...kit-623n2.html
and here is the link for full leaf springs:
http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-sus...kit-633n2.html
They also have a 4.5" kit that comes with leaf springs, adjustable lca, adjustable track bar, adjustable uca,, transfer case drop kit, stainless steel brake lines, and sway bar quick-disconnects Heres the link to that one:

Not rough country. Go Rubicon express.

I installed the RC series 2 4.5 inch on my friends xj, the rear springs were so short that the shackles are pulled all the way front in the shackle box. Hes driven it about a thousand miles now and they havent shown any signs of settling out. I would vote for rubicon express or zone if your feeling a little cheaper

I've heard Zone is a really good company too

IMO Zone is the best of the lower end kits.

If I did it again I'd make my own 4.5" kit. Talk to the serious offroad guy he can get you a discount on his rubicon express stuff.

My buddy found baseline 4x4 to be the cheapest when he got his RE lift. If your not afraid to spend money check out BDS.

Rubicon Express FTW! But seriously I've run Rough Country springs and now Rubicon Express springs, and RE springs are the best investment I've ever made to my Jeep. RC springs lack a little bit. I would recommend doing it right the first time instead of doing what I did and buying ****ty parts just for a cheap lift, then buying better parts later and doing it all over again. But hey, at least all the bolts were easy to remove the second time around.

Also what shocks?

Tsaani97xj 01-22-2014 03:09 PM

Best of the best? Clayton, BDS, Deaver leafs, Bilstein for shocks. Probably other or better but these are in the top.

Go to seriousoffroadproducts.com for the best prices. As far as shocks, Bilstein 5100's are good. You can get those from Frank at Serious as well. BDS is probably the BEST out there but very expensive. But RE is great at a moderate price.
