Hey I have a 98 Cherokee with a 5 speed dana 30 high pinion front 8.25 rear. It has 3 inches of lift right now but I want to go higher. I am thinking 4.5 inches of lift with 33 inch tires. Can anyone tell me if I will need longer front control arms or a slip yoke eliminator? What amounts of lift require what modifications?
Also what lift works best with what size tire I don't want the tires to be cutting out the fenders.

Everything you asked could be answered with a quick google search. However.. At 4.5" of lift you NEED: Coils Shocks Trackbar LCAs Stock UCAs are fine, but adjustable aftermarket are preferred Brake lines Sway bar links or discos (or remove the sway bar) Id recommend a combination of leaf springs and an extended shackle (possibly even a shackle relocation kit) Ive ran numerous jeeps with 4.5" and never needed an SYE...so you should be fine there. 33s will fit on a 4.5" of lift..but you will rub once you disco your sway bar..without trimming nothing bigger than a 32" tire will physically stuff 100%.
pretty much everything that guy said^^^ but at 4.5 id start looking at long arms. The SYE is a case by case thing. I absolutely needed one at 3.5" Ive seen jeeps at 5.5 work without it.
Needs a track bar.... Surprised ya'll didn't say that. Where's clowns chart that's been posted hundreds of times in the all lift and tire questions thread where this belongs. And where all the answers to this could be found. With 33s you're going to want to get deeper gears.
Idk how I forgot about the track bar, i needed one of those at 3" too. But trust me you can stuff bigger than a 32, and at 4.5 if you have an rubbing issue with 33s its gonna be light to none, i have 35s on 3.5" and only rub at full stuff or flexing at full lock. Heres 35s fully stuffed in the fender..
I found all this to be required with my 4 1/2" lift using a base 3" lift with 1 1/2" Boomerang Shackles and ACOS coil spacers, I run 33's and 35" tires.
Guys I really appreciate all the help! This is really a huge help, I was going in circles trying to figure out what tire and lift combination I needed.
