You will have to eyeball that. I didnt on mine. If so just cut them and buy new bolts. Taking off the hitch sucks.
I cut them. And I had to cut the front one too so now the rest of it is in the frame is there any tricks to get it out?

Can you be more specific? Like where do I cut the access hole and does it just lead to the bolt. If so then what?

Im not sure if I am understanding this correctly. Is this bolt you are trying to retrieve in the way of anything or does it just float around in the frame now?

You are trying acces the inner frame. There is a weld nut in there you will have to break it off if stripped out. Are you can attempt to drill it out and extract. You will have to kinda eyebal where to make your hole. But right above where the weld nut would be in the frame. The frame is just u channel so the top is just sheet metal.

In my waggy build in sig. I show how i accessed it but i would not do it my way again lol hind site is 20 20

Once u bust that nut off you can insert your own nut and bolt to tighten new leaf spring down with.

If you wanna patch it back up do it with sheet metal screws that u can take back out if you need to mess with it again.

My waggy build thread actually shows fixes to everything you are fighting. There are better ways of doing everything i did. I just did not search a lot first. Google and searching here will help you as just about everyone that lift there xj deals with this.
