Compress the opposite side suspension with a ratchet strap that will force the side your working on down then persuade the spring in with a large pry bar. When i did my lift I didn't even need a spring compressor.

Makes sense. But I'm doing it one at a time should I pull both springs out?

i would pull both sides out yes or if your using a lift keep one tire on the opposite side and lower the lift so it compresses the op side.

Just did my 4.5 without coil compressors also.

They are dangerous.

It may help to remove your lower control arms. Axle side. But support the truck at the frame and let the acle fully hang. The 3in springs will go in pretty easily at full droop. You can step on the hub area to help push one side down more to put in spring.

I assume you have the brake calipers removed and the shocks aren't mounted, right?

True. I did my coils without a compressor without any major issues as long as you disconect the shocks, calipers and of course the swaybar.

Well, I said remove the calipers... I just mean to make sure the brake lines aren't pulled tight.

Remove that shocks and swag bar, then flex the Jeep out in a ditch now kick the coils in.

THATS A PRETTY STANDARD LIFT, DISCONNECT YOUR SWAY BAR, AND SHOCKS NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO! I USED A PORTO POWER TO PUSH THE AXLE DOWN ON THE SIDE I WAS WORKIN ON AND NEEDED NO COMPRESSOR AT ALL. BIGGER COILS, DIFFERENT STORY!

Got the front. Working on the back. I have a tow hitch does that need to be removed from the jeep to allow that one bolt to get out?

You will have to eyeball that. I didnt on mine. If so just cut them and buy new bolts. Taking off the hitch sucks.
