Default Lift help!!!

So I have a 1.5" booster from rough country on my 00 xj as of now...i want to go bigger but am not sure if I should get a 3" or 4 or 4.5"...my friend says id need a slip yolk eliminator and longer drive shaft plus a transfer case drop if I went above 3" or I would "grind" gears when I flex even a little...
Is this correct..?
Thanks!!!

your friend is somewhat misinformed...

MOST (but not all) 1996 and newer Cherokees need at least a tcase drop at 3-4 inches

you will not grind gears, but you will vibrate

will yours do it?

You will not know until you install your lift...

I would get a 3" lift if you only plan to run 31s

anything bigger would mean a lot more parts
