I was looking over my friends' new 01 XJ when we came across this. The bolt holding the shackle on the driver side leaf spring side looks like it has come loose and pushed up through the mount. We haven't had time to pull it apart since it's his DD, but is there a way to fix this?

take it apart weld a washer over the hole and reinstall with new hardware. looks like the bolt is broken or backed off. is rust a problem in Utah?

Thanks, we weren't sure if it could be that simple. It's not a huge problem, but it happens.

never seen that before... but ya WELD a washer on over the OEM hole and rebolt back together... look at the bolt well also as it may be damaged...
