You will probably want control arm drop brackets at the least. You're much better off with long arms at 6 inches, but it can be done on short arms. The ride may suffer a bit if it's a DD.

Yep. Steeper the angle of he arms the more those arms are goings to jab up into the unibody when hitting bumps. Guys have gone over 6 inches with short arms but they usually upgrade to a long arm as soon as they save up the money.
