Default LED lightbar behind grille

Has anybody done this yet? Thinking about putting a 21" bar from superbrightleds behind the grille. Looks like there's just enough room for it. Pics if you have please!

Seen it in bumper. Not grill. But check out Olympus before superbright, way better product.

I think the correct answer for this question is (not trying to be a smartass) do it and post lots of pictures so I can do it too. I've been thinking about the same thing but maybe a little different. I am considering a winch in the future so I may mount mine to the top of the inner grill which would be mounting to the header panel. Lol

He's actually talking about doing them behind the grill not in front.

not enough room for one unless you relocate your radiator and fan

There's 2.5" between the radiator and grille at its greatest distance. The superbrightleds light is 2.25" thick. Yes it's close but it will fit. I will check out Olympus

If you don't have an AC condenser or a trans cooler you could probably get one to fit. Wouldn't the grill block a decent amount of light though?

I would be worried about the back side of the plastic housing heating up and melting connections.

Meh, a little melted plastic isn't a big deal. I doubt it would ever get hot enough to actually catch on fire.

Interesting. Why did you decide to center it in the grill? light direction? I personally would have mounted it at either the top or bottom, just curious why you opted to center it.

edit... I'm guessing for clearance reasons?

Clearance. Light wouldn't fit high or low, only right in the middle. I would have preferred it down low but that's the only place it would work
