or these:

Has anyone used this brand before?
Are there any downsides to using an LED fog light?
Do I have to wire them up differently than a normal fog light?
Are they reliable like a regular fog?
I live in a rural area, so the more light the better in my case. For $50 this is a good deal to me. My little wally world fogs aren't quite as bright as I would like them to be, and they suck up a bunch of power. I'd like to get these soon, since April is coming up and that means thick fog and crazy deer basically every morning during my commute to an 8am class. If anyone could give me any advice on an LED setup, I'd really appreciate it. So far these lights got great reviews. I'm pretty impressed by the light these LEDs can produce also. 1500 lumens seems pretty damn bright to me.

Sorry for each link posting twice, don't know why that happened. There should be one link to a round pair and one link to an oval pair.

They wire up just like regular lamps - switch, relay, wiring - but they don't require as much current to drive them.

(I'd use a relay anyhow, I'm just funny that way.)

NB: I've heard that "white" LEDs don't punch through fog/smoke/mist/rain/snow very well. However, I have yet to verify this. Were I to go with an LED auxiliary lamp for foul Wx, I'd be sure to get an amber emitter - or don't bother. Just safer that way, I think...

"Are they reliable like a regular fog?"

id say more reliable in that leds have way longer life that halogen bulbs.

remember, FOGS are for fog...aimed low, short distance...you know why people can see better with yellow fogs? cuz theyre dimmer than white...yellow doesnt have some magical power to cut through fog its just not as bright...so with FOGS brightest isnt best...where the light is goin is.

Amber filters do help the light cut through the foul Wx - that's why good fogs are amber.

But "dimmer" light also helps - that's why I took the 55W bulbs out of my fogs and put in 35W Yellow Star bulbs. It's a "butt dyno" measurements, but I think the 35W bulbs give me greater visibility than the 55W bulbs do.

And putting brighter bulbs in fog lamps and expecting them to work better in fog? Not so much.

Thanks guys, I'll see what happens when I get them. I'll probably keep my little fogs now and mount them under the bumper in case I need to use those still. I do more night driving than fog driving, so they'll still be a good buy for me. They say the range is 164ft, I doubt that but anything is better than the 30 or so feet of my fogs now. I'd get a set of driving lights but they don't have a wide enough beam angle to reach the edges of the road. My headlights are narrow enough, haha.
