I'm assuming it's my jeep and not the lights since its done this with two different sets. Okay so the driver (left) side works great, but the passenger (right) side blows the parking light fuse and I don't know why. At first I thought it was the bulb, but now I'm not so sure. Anybody know what it could be and how I could fix this? Or do you think I just got two bad bulbs? Thanks!

Have you pulled the light cover off and looked at the wiring harness, there is a plug inside of the body on my 95. I had a few corroded and non working plugs on mine when I bought it .

The thing is it's only with the LED bulbs, works perfect with normal bulbs. So I don't think it's corrosion or anything like that. Thank you for the quick response and I might as well check it.

My experience with LED's in my profession makes me wonder a little. They draw so little current compared to incandescent so I can't make sense as to why it would blow the fuse.

yeah, that's what I don't get, do you think they might just be bad bulbs?

Did you try taking a bulb from the other side of that is working ? That would probably tell you straight away.

the first set I just shrugged it off as being a dud and sent them back without testing, but when the second set messed up too, I assumed it was the jeep. Well the second set they didn't require I send them back so I cut the problem child open and it appears something came unsoldered and caused it to short, blowing the fuse. They're sending another set, refunded me my money and let me keep the second set. Maybe 3rd time is the charm!

sorry it took so long to reply, I haven't been on the app lately because it doesn't work on my iPhone anymore. They were Aaron LEDs.

Now I have led brake lights and turn signals. but the turn signal lights up dimly when I hit the brakes, does anyone know what could be the problem?

My guess is there is some sort of transient voltage backfeeding through the wiring harness. Check out the site the www.the12volt.com there is a lot of info there.

I ended up putting leds in every exterior light except the two tail lights because there were a lot of funky things happening when I tried them

Reviving my old thread. Trying to finally figure out the stupid lights. So now I have leds in all exterior places. Here's the problems. When I have my parking or full lights on the turn signal indicators are dimly lit causing the side marker (the 194 bulbs) to be half lit.

Also, when I don't have my lights on and I hit the brakes the parking lights and the gauge lights light up.

Have you tryed swapping your turn signal relay out for a led specific relay? That might be part of the problem. You need some sort of load equalizer for those leds. Its confusing a very simple circuit.

it's got an LED specific relay, and it shouldn't need load equalizers since that's just a fancy term for resistors that cause the LEDs to have the same resistance as incandescents which pretty much makes all the stuff I've done pointless since I want to reduce power draw and stress on the wiring.
