My leaf springs on my 97 are worn. I picked up a pair off of a 93 with about 110k on them. I have a 3" short AAL. I want to rebuild the leaf springs and install the AAL (instructions state it should be installed above the bottom leaf). The bushings look fine. In a step by step process how should I go about rebuilding these things? What size C clamps do I need to allow the tension to completely release? Should I replace the clamps? What are everyone's feelings on graphite paint? I know there is probably a thread on here somewhere addressing this, but impatience is getting the better of me at this point.
