Default Leaf spring bracket

So my issue started two years ago when I replaced my leaf springs. had the usual problems with stuck bolts. ended up tearing one of the welded nuts and stripping the other bolt. so I had to cut them out, drill new holes, and put new bolts in. now over time of highway and offroad miles the holes have gotten wallerd out and now I get uneven tire wear and rearend shake. I was looking at the Dorman leaf spring braket to fix my issue and was wondering if anyone had tried these and if so how hard was it to do or are they weld in?
Thanks, Alex

What are you talking about ??

First off, what are the specifics of your jeep (year, model, drive, etc)...

Second, there is a shackle box that is welded to the frame, and there is a shackle, which connects the frame to the leaf spring. Which is it you are talking about ?

I am assuming you mean the brackets 722-056 & 722-057 ??

Yes, they are weld & bolt in....IE, they have 1 bolt you use to hold it in place while it is welded in.

Not sure how those will work, as the lip on the open end of the side with the bolt hole only would have to be cut off on my jeeps..no idea why it is there. You can see in the pic below the rear face is straight up, and the factory box has a flange welded to the rear plate. The bracket you are looking at also has a 45 deg angle on that extra flange, and there is nowhere for it to sit against.

1990 dana35, 4in lift, ax15.
These brackets are for the front mount and not the rear. it would be both part numbers as I hosed both holes :banging:

WOW.......missed that...........

Dorman calls them "Rear Right Position Leaf Spring Bracket" in the main title, which tells me they are for the rear of the right leaf spring...NOT the front.

Then they say in a different spot, "Right Rear Spring Forward; Bracket".

Cherokees only have leaf springs in the rear.....

Their descriptions are kinda jacked up.

He's talking about the hangers not the shackle boxes. Asking how hard it would be to install them is kinda like the old saying that if you have to ask how much something is..........

Ninja edit; yes Dorman descriptions can be a bit of engrish sometimes
