Default Leaf Shim question....

I have the 8.25 and want to go to 4.5 inch lift on my 99 xj ...dont have the money for the SYE and all...I was wondering if anyone knows what shims I should order for my leafs...i have a 1" drop on the t case now...any help is appreciated...thanks!

I just did the 4.5 kit myself and I also have the 1 inch drop. I used 6 degree shims and it made everything pretty close to stock

Try to measure your angles after you get your lift on and then decide I guess. You might not even need them.

It all depends on the leaf spring itself, Some require different shims then others. I also have a 4.5 inch lift but I only needed 2 degree shims. So like stated before just put your lift on then measure it.

Auto...I am not sure what the angle is..its up about 2-3 in the rear over stock now...there is a bastard pack in there.

When I had a tcase drop and no SYE on my 2000 with 4.5in I was using 4degree shims and all was good.
