no. basically you can read it as 4L60: 4 gears L longitudinally mounted 60 strength. saying it’s a 4 speed rwd trans built from balsa wood. enter the 8L90. 8 speed rwd trans built out of titanium and diamonds. bit sarcastic but you get the point.

LSX engine. gen 3-4 small block chevrolet. ls1, lm7, lq4 etc.

Having done a similar swap with a 4.3 V6 (chopped down 5.7L) there is a few words of wisdom I would like to share. First off, you will need a better radiator than the XJ OEM. No way it will handle anything bigger than 4.0L. You better just plan to redo the front cross member and put in a good aftermarket aluminum radiator. Second, forget the headers. They will be too wide and interfere the steering sector shaft. At best you will have to put a bearing and joing in the middle. Third, you will have to plate the frame front to back with that much horsepower. Third, you will need to get an adaptor and tail shaft for a transfer case that uses the six bolt Dana 300 pattern. You can use a 231 if you want. The horsepower goes straight through when in 2WD and most of it in 4WD. If you have a D35 rear end, probably better upgrade. It won't take that kind of HP if it gets any traction. So, that will get you started

If you are going to go through all the trouble of wiring that stuff into the Jeep and making everything work properly then I think it would make more sense to just go with an LS swap.

Again I'm not ******* you about this I am just saying the LS has a ton of aftermarket support and it would be the best bang for the buck. But on the other hand you already have the L98 stuff so just say so and I will drop it lol

I already have a aluminum radiator, the rest of the mods I was aware of (well most) the rear and front axels I will be shopping around for after the swap. what did you mean by forget the headers? forget upgrading them?

Id also recommend staying away from the 4l60. Do you really need an overdrive transmission?

A bone stock turbo 400 would handle 400hp in your jeep no problem and they are cheap.
