ok everyone yes this is another lift thread but its more of a show and tell with pics lol. there are lots of lift companines and lots of people running different brands of lift. but tv only shows a few of the big names like rough country and rustys and i think i saw zone on one show. im one of the guys who is goin with a 3 to 3.5 inch lift on my xj but since most of the xj owners I. Kno have big lifts, I've never seen an xj in person with a 3 to 3.5 inch lift. So I figured id start a thread for people who have this tall of lift to show off their xj and give a little insight to tire size, real world experience and thoughts and opinons on their paticular set up and why. This way people who don't plan on goin bigger or can't afford to go bigger can get an idea of what their xj could look like.......

yea it has but this is why its a fourm so people can beat topics to death and when subjects become unclear we can start new threads and start over. im one of many people who still dont seem to get clear info. thats why this particular post is just for the 3 to 3.5 inch lift, because we all know that 95% of the time once you get bigger than this their is a lot more involved than just buying a lift and some tires.

The more you spend, the more you get, really. Figure out what you want to do with it, how much you want to spend and then go from there. You don't have as many options since you're going only 3in. Off the top of my head the three big ones are rustys, zone, RE and RC, there is also OME but I think they only go to 2in. Just get full leaf packs, coils, brake line relocation brackets (or longer brake lines), sway bar endlinks if you want to keep it. You're going to drive yourself insane looking for "the best". I went with RC because it fit my budget and the customer service is awesome and the 10% discount for being a member here is also awesome. Ping Pong sold me on the RC because he said it rides rough as ****. And boy does it! LOL. It was at my door within three days of ordering it. It's not the "best" by any means but it does what I want it to.

Here's mine. It was a 4" but it's probably sagged down to this range.

The wheel's in this pic are either 3.5 or 3.25 backspaced with 31s. My dad picked up the lift for $100 back in 2000 so I'm happy with it

I pieced my 3inch together, craigslist find new pro comp coils, shocks, brake line relocating bracket, aal control arms, and couple other things, craigslist 31 pirelli at tires an rims, new RC 3inch leafs. I didn't use pro comp aal because my rear leafs were sagging. It works for what I need, hunting, fishing, camp, pulling boat, light off roading. Its not daily driver for me but works great, do I want to go bigger heck yea but no need, least at the moment.

I'm looking for a kit that will work the best with stock zj wheels and 31's. I drive my jeep a lot!! So 35s and a big lift won't be pratcial for me.
