Default Kc light question

Hey everybody,
So I'm gonna pick up some kc lites for my 2000xj. I'm going with a pair of daylighters and a pair of long range all gonna get put on my bumper. I think this will make a nice thorough or not you can wire both sets on the same switch. Well I know you CAN but is it easy to do? And also as a bonus how hard would it be to wire them into my high beam switch?

I wouldn't do that as it would put added load on your light circuit/switch that it couldn't handle. You'll burn something up. I keep any added electrical demand for accessories on it's own separate switching source off the battery. Do it right with it's own separate relay and switch.

Hooking lights up to your high-beams through a relay puts a minimal increase of draw through the wiring. That is why relays are used. I have five lights, three are 100w long range and two are 55w wide beam lights and I have them on two relays wired properly and hooked up so that they come on when I switch on my high beams. I've been running this setup for 4.5 years now ever since I stared running a newspaper route again. They get run constantly for about four hours a night, sixth days a week and almost six hours on Sunday. Never even blown a fuse.

The #85 post on the relay. Instead of running that wire to a switch, run it to your high beam headlight wire. And you won't need the wire from the fusebox to the switch or the indicator light.
