PG8XJ

I have some spare ZJ seats from a 96 that I would like to put into my 2000 xj. I am trying to get power to the driver seat to make sure they work, I powered the passenger seat just fine with the red and black wire off the main connector and it moved. I tried this with the driver side but the recline and lumbar do not work like the passenger side. Are the hot wires different on the drivers side? or is it just a coincidence that the recline and lumbar actuators are dusted? Only need recline as I am putting the seats on the factory xj frames.
