I looked for adapters and didn't see any mostly because when people swap in V8s they ditch the AW4 because it doesn't like the power most make. That being said unless you plan on building the 360 a stock 4L makes more HP and torque. The old AMC V8s that came in trucks weren't making tons of power and by now it'd be pretty tired. You'd also be putting a carb on it which is going backwards and if you wheel it it'd hurt performance. If you're set on a V8 swap find a newer fuel injected version with more aftermarket support or a doner vehicle you can get the complete drivetrain from.
Ever since I read an entire build thread on a 5.3 chevy swap I have been fantasizing about doing that and the GM trans. Serious performance has one in his xj its a nice clean swap.

Outlaw Star aske me to chime in so here goes....
Adding a V8 is a great upgrade provided you choose the right engine and tranny combination. Although dropping a Chrysler motor into a Jeep might seem like the ideal combo...it really isn't.
The lack of aftermarket support for this swap makes it more costly and far mor time consuming that the more popular 5.3L/6.0L GM swap.
The 5.3L/6.0L swap is a great option because of the massive amounts of motors available and the aftermarket support is equally impressive.
Another downside to the 360 swap is the width of the motor itself. It's frakin' huge compared to the 5.3L.
I'm not saying it can't be done, but you really should look at all of the pro's and con's before you start spending any cash.
