Default Jeep Cherokee fender trimming

need to do some fender trimming on my jeep. Now my question is can I just cut the front and cut the rear and put the door trim on it to seal it. I don't want to have to cut and fold if I can just use the door trim after I cut what I need to off???

No you can't cut the back off because it's spot welded. You cut and fold so you don't lose the seal created by the spot welds.

If you want you could cut it off but water/mud will be free to fly into your cargo area. Door trim won't last

Really think about what you're saying and ask yourself if it really sounds like a good idea lol.

Fold or don't bother. Unless you have a spot welder handy.

All of the above. The cut n fold method up to the pinch welds, helpos maintain the integrity of the fender. You dont have to do the "rear quarter" cut n fold. just the fender lips. once you roll over the trimmed section, it is a rounded edge and will not cut the tires. Top it off with some spray on bed liner, and you are good to go. If you feel adventageious you can put your flares back on with some creative hole drilling and placement.
