How on earth did I miss that? I subscribe to his channel and draw ideas from his projects. Holy cow, that second jack looks like the difference maker (one under the pinch seam bracket and one under the frame rail bracket)! Now I gotta get a second floor jack wrangled from somewhere. ... pawn shops here i come!

And that worked like a charm! Had to loosen all the frame bolts and put the jack almost directly under each pinch seem opening to get the slider as snug as possible, then used an impact drill from the inside through the slider. Wasn't exactly centered? Who cares? The impact drill with the cone drill it shaved the slider holes a bit wider to accommodate. All the self taping frame bolts tightened right back up with out a problem! Awesome!
I just got my JCR sliders today and the front sticks out about 3/4-1" compared to the rear. Is anyone else's like that? All the plans I've seen say the front connecting bar should be an inch shorter than the rear and these are the same at 10".

Edit; Upon closer inspection there is a 1/4" difference between front and rear connecting bar. Try switching sides.
In the second picture the `F`can be seen.

Mine does that as well and has for years haha. Bugged me for about a week.
Mine are also the same at 10" but mount up even. Not sure what the issue could be. There is a welded 'F' mark on the top which designates forward.

I'm going to install them as is. I think the design is good. As long as they protect my rockers/doors I'll be happy. They do look nice and the welds are impressive. A couple pics to hopefully show what I'm talking about.
Thanks again,
Scott
I just installed mine. Ham fisted **** aside, the driver's side mounted up beautifully and every hole in the pinch seam worked. The passenger side dips at the front, and I only got a few pinch seam bolts. Part of that was my awful drilling, but the passenger side definitely didn't fit quite the same, and I assume my frame perhaps isn't so straight on that side, because the slider looked straight and true.
Once fitted though both sides seem quite solid. Haven't dragged them on anything yet, but the wife at least has somewhere to stand if she needs to lash things to the roof.

Throw away the ****ty pinch seam bolts they supply and buy some grade 8s. So when you tighten them with your tiny open-end they don't break. I had 3 break and it was fricken annoying.
