It's about that time...
I just ordered a 4.5 Rough Country X-Series lift from Baseline 4x4 Outfitters.
I've been running a OME 2" lift for the last three years. I has been kinda bothering me that all my fellow managers drive new full-sized trucks that tower over my XJ, even with their stock suspensions. Well... then I got to work the other day and ended up parking next to some guy we had just hired to work out in our warehouse. He drives a bone-stock 2009 Liberty. I cringed when I saw that his roofline was several inches higher than mine is with a 2" lift. Then I noticed that one of our "elder" sales ladies drives a Honda Pilot that dwarfs my XJ.
So... TIME TO GO BIGGER!!
I think I'll couple the lift with some 31" Duratracs and some JCR Crusader sliders eventually.
I was originally going to go with the Rusty's Advanced 4.5" lift, but at $1158.25 shipped with adjustable control arms, the Rough Country, being on sale, was considerably cheaper with basically all the same stuff. I hear mixed reviews on both brands so I hope I made the right choice. Sorry, but I'm remodeling our house, so I didn't have an RE budget right now.

RockKrawler 3 link long arms cost me 700 bucks shipped, then I bought a 4.5 RE coils for 80 bucks, a set of 1.5 shackles for like 40-ish bucks. And got a 3 inch AAL from a previous lift. Then I made my shackle relocation brackets
I'm currently sitting at 5 inches lift and cost me less than a thousand bucks and it's a 3 link!

Would your kit have included upper and lower adjustable arms, adjustable track bar, disconnects, and brake lines? I priced out an RE kit like that online and got sticker shock. I don't do a lot of hard wheeling or rock crawling, so I'm hoping the RC kit will serve my needs.
