Those tires came in and as far as I can tell, they're just as advertised. I can't wait to get them on! I just ordered my gears. I got an amazing deal from Ronsmachinigservice. Those guys offer the best prices of anyone anywhere on package deals. I got Elite 4.88s and master install kits for front and rear and a Powertrax grip pro for the front since I was going to have to buy a carrier anyway. I asked him if he'd package it up into one deal and he did for under $800. All this stuff is about to blow the budget so I'm just doing the CAD brackets with the ****ty arms that are on here now until I can upgrade the suspension more. Also, I'm about to install my SYE this week and it looks like the driveshaft I got at the junkyard is going to be too short so I'll be trying to find a deal on a driveshaft.

I used a ZJ shaft for my rear and it's longer than stock, maybe you can also use one. Otherwise Oliver's driveshaft is a cheaper alternative to Adam's

Good to know, I like their web page. I'll order from them if I end up needing one (likely).
Next thing I'll want to upgrade are my control arms. I've about decided to do a short arm setup. I think I'm going to go with the Rubicon Express flex arms. I think the fixed lowers and adjustable uppers with my CAD brackets will make for a nice flexy and economical option but I hope to have a little time to figure that out.

I like RE. Ive used their coils and arms. I still have their superflex adjustable upper control arms. That said, I am a huge fan of Core4x4. I have Core's Tier 3 arms and they weight a ton compared to the RE superflex arms I had previously. I highly recommend checking Core4x4 out.

I have about a 6" lift in the rear and a stock front driveshaft works fine with my hack n tap SYE.

I think the front ds I grabbed must be from the wrong Jeep, maybe it was a manual instead of auto or something. Or maybe my sye will be a little longer than I think and it’ll just work, but I don’t think so.

I'm going to make my own control arms out of square tubing. I ended up with Rubicon Express CAD bracket and support. I'll do poly bushings on one end and heims on the other end. I think I'll do the bushings on the frame and and heims on the axle ends.

I'm going to start installing my SYE tonight. I only get a couple of hours to do anything at night and it's dark and my driveway is dirt do it sucks but I want it done so I'm going to do it. I see no reason to pull the TC. I'm going to do it in the Jeep.

I installed the driveshaft that I got from the junkyard. It didn't seem like it was going to be long enough so I pulled harder and it came apart more. I can actually slide the end all the way off. The splines are showing but they're still engaged several inches. I'm pretty sure Im not supposed to drive it like that but it would probably work. I'm out of money from buying everything I've bought but this is something I'm afraid I have to have.

You'll be fine driving on the road. I would check your driveshaft while flexing to see how it looks.

4.88s front and rear - $450 - $500
SYE - $200, I have an extra front driveshaft to use with it
Control Arm Drops - $200
IRO Fixed control arms - $250 or Adjustable - $350
Then Tires > $1000 ???

So that's a pile of money right off the bat.

I also want boostwerks steering brace soon. I really like that piece and I think I need a fuel pump. I have a hard start every day and changing the filter thing on the top didn't fix it. So thats another few hundred right there.
^^^ welcome to the Jeep life....you have to "pay to play" but most will agree.... we love our old Jeeps

As long as you have 1"-2" of spline engagement, you'll be fine

Where are you getting 4.88s for $500 and a sye kit for $200? I'd add $100 to each of those.

I'd go SYE over Hack and tap any day.
