what's your budget? And labor is free it's not hard to install a lift. All you need is a jack, stands, and a socket set.

bastard pack it. You'll be over paying for a kit and a shop to do it all when you can get that lift. Heck, if all you want to do is 2" might as well just get a coil spacer and shackles

with that budget, and not knowing about cars, all you would need is shackles and spacers. Depending on the condition of your leafs. You may be better off getting a 3 inch lift. More options. Also, I don't know where you are located, but in my area people woukd charge you like $300. It's not hard.

I really think that a 3" lift with leaf springs, coils and shocks is the best bang for the buck in most situations.
You get new, stronger springs that will last alot longer.
Look into something like zone offroad 3" lift or rustys offroad 3" lift.
Two good lifts, one is a little more than the other.
Add an adjustable trackbar and you have nice, fresh suspension and shocks.

This. I'll never lift a jeep the budget way again. Once the new owner took my suggestion and replaced the front springs with re spring and the Leafs with iro, and put half decent Shocks on, it drove so. Much. Better.

Find a guy that knows what he is doing, buy pizza and beer.

it would also help if you put the year of your xj in your signature or profile, or say what year in the thread. Some years had leafs that were prone to sag, and using an add-a-leaf is not recommended. Below is an example of a "budget" kit that uses an add-a-leaf
