Default How vulnerable is downpipe during offroading?

On an XJ that has 1.25" lift and no skidplates, how vulnerable is the downpipe-crossover pipe during offroading?

I've never heard of anyone damaging their crossover pipe, but my common sense tells me it could happen.

What are your experiences with this?

Use common sense off road, and it won't be an issue.....

You essentially have a stock jeep. An inch lift really isn't much. Don't trash the jeep or try doing things you shouldn't and you'll be good.

It's not much more vulnerable than the fuel tank.
Thw fuel tank is the only thing I ever dragged or became stuck on running 1.5" lift and 29" tires.
I added some more lift and 33's, never caught it on anything again.
What size tire are you running

I'm more worried about the fuel tank and t case,The exhaust unless you can pinch it shut your fine.Worse case you rip it off the jeep will still run.

Been there done that. Definitely a loud ride home but not a show-stopper by any means.

I've flattened out the downpipe on 2 rigs now. smashed the trans pan and dented the oil pan. Also took a couple small chunks out of the tcase housing but never broke it thank god

it's definitely exposed, but you're more likely to get hung up on your muffler. Which is why I always remove mine
