Quote: I installed my 4.5" today and took it right to the alignment shop. My steering wheel is clocked 180 degrees, exactly upside down. They said i'd need a drop pitman arm in order to adjust it back to straight.

Also, the Jeep wanders and the steering is touchy, like overly sensitive.

So if you go up 4.5" what size pitman arm would make sense?

Thanks!

1. Find a new alignment shop and never go back to that one.
2. No drop pitman arm is needed at 4.5"
3. to recenter the steering, make sure your track bars are centered correctly first. Front and Rear(GC)
4. Un hook the drag link from the pitman arm. center steering wheel. ratchet strap it to both doors to hold it in place or have someone hold it. adjust your draglink intil the TRE slides in to the pitman arm without moving the arm.
5. Get us a front end shot showing your steering.
6. wandering is usually a case of worn out steering components.

I got it guys, it was a worn out drag link causing the wandering. I fixed the steering wheel myself. I did have to pull the pitman arm and rotate it and then fine-tune with the sleeve on the drag link but it was not that hard. I would say that if I were a professional that worked at an alignment shop I probably could have figured that one out...

Anyway, thanks for the help! It's great being able to see my gauges and my turn signals cancel again, haha.
