Hi I will soon be getting a dana 60 front axle and I was wanting to know how much lift is needed for the oil pan to be out of the way of the differential if infact this is an issue. I remember quite awhile back someone mentioned it posing a problem so I was hoping someone may know about it. Im wanting to stay under 6.5" of lift with long arm suspension.

it shouldnt take that much, but you do have to make your own lift for it then, there arent any bolt on lifts that you can buy to do it

Yeah. I had planed on a Rock Krawler 4 link kit and welding mounts on the axle the same width apart as the d30s are and making the upper mounts work somehow. I may end up making my own control arms though and just buying joints to hopefully save a bit of money. Havent looked into how much it would cost to make my own though.

i would prbly be cheaper, but it would take more time, and you would also need to make a new cross member, or buy one from clayton and make it work. and look into a 3 link setup as well
