It really depends on which model of SS they are. A way to improve the way they work is to groove them. I know a lot of ppl who run krawlers, and trepadors... and wont buy a set for comp use until they are down to 30%

Super Swampers, I guess It would depend on which ones they are, my TSL, bias, SS, had 26/32s, so 50% would still leave me 13/32s which is pretty good. SSR radials come with 19-21/32s so 50% would be less, but still work pretty good.

x2 the krawlers can be ordered with half tread because as the wear the center of the tread the compound becomes softer. But this is only true or very noticable on stickies

I usually have 13-33/16 tsl's, bias 8 ply. I run them to the wear bars, knife em to the casing and run em til their bald. Don't notice to much of a difference from new to wore out. In sticky mud they don't clean out as well due to the tread bars not flexing as good when they get close to the wear bars. But hey that's just my experience and I've ran swampers for 16 years, daily drive and weekend warrior.

Not to thread jack, but how would they work for daily drivers and snow?

Sent from my mind using the rusty stock leafs off my xj.
