Because I don't want anything from RC.. Their product seem to break after a short time. It is really the lowest end one can get...

A proper long arm upgrade is almost a thousand bucks and not really necessary for a small lift... Good arms and a relocation kit might do the trick and are cheaper, even quality ones...

The TJ/MJ/XJ, etc:

The specific por XJ:

Could be, but not enough of a drop on the chassis side. Arm will still be angled downwards...

It has a 1.5" spacers. I'm thinking about 4~4.5" final lift.

Lol "final lift" I've heard that before
Start with just short arms no brackets and in the event you want brackets you might end up wanting long arms too

all great choices. i got ironman andy's arms this time, and love them! BEEF! i decided to go w/his tapered bushings.

the one con i've heard/read about joints on both ends, is the ride is a little harsher because there are no bushings to dampen vibration.

Yes, I know it could sound silly to say 'final lift'. But there are some little big restrictions to get taller. Here is almost impossible (besides that very expensive) to get tires larger than 33". To give you an idea: a 33x10.5 cost about $450 each. A 35" tire can cost $600 and I don't know if there are in stock. Entering in a 35" or larger means change the axles, what implies put better shafts or swap axles. Here there aren't good YJ, so I have to import most of the things. Again, pay a lot of taxes, etc.

And finally: the tallest mountain in the country is about 1500ft, so not to much rock to crawling in

Seriously speaking: with a 32x11 or 33x10 with 4.5 lift kit and good components I think I can build a rig very capable for most of the terrains here and also use in the city without many problems.

djlarroc: I don't think that the ride will be harsher than the current components LOL, but thanks for the answer. I've read all good things about Ironman and I like also his tie rod, beefy and cheaper than the one from Currie.
