Default Hood Rack

So I saw this on tv today:

Does anyone think something like this could be practical? Would the hood need to be reinforced?

That's a terrible idea. First it can't support all that much weight. Second it obstructs vision.

Third anything you put on the hood to be held in place by that rack would get cooked.

If you ever did strap anything to the hood it would block field of vision,And depending your state on the road that could get you a ticket also.

Perhaps it's for carrying game, can even cook it on the way home, or spoil it.
