Either one of these will bolt right on. I can also modify these with a stinger, brush bar, front bar or just about anything for you if you’d like.

Sector Shaft bearing brace now available! Added to the box housing brace I believe this will be the strongest setup available. Upgrade offered for new orders and anyone who’s already bought one. $75 for this upgrade.

I utilize Synergy Mfg nuts and bearings that they use for their JK sector shaft brace. These parts are designed for abuse.

How they stack on the box.

Bearing inserted.

Threaded plate with 4 1/2” fine thread grade 8 bolts!

I'm wayyy late to this party but if you still need another XJ for some R&D, I'd be happy to volunteer lol - I live in Puyallup, not far from you! Love this idea.

Looks awesome. stronger than the boostwerks brace bearing? Questionable but still a huge improvement over what you had before and great work!

Interesting thread

There was a Factory mounted Winch, think it was also "hidden" here is an excerpt from 94-96 Parts Manual showing the mounting parts

I am almost ready to pull the trigger financially on this. I have been gnawing at the bit and it is basically time to bite this hook. Is there a list of winches that will fit by any chance, or a dimension box that can be cross referenced by me on my own? I already have those hook things that boltto the frame and protrude from under the bumper; so this question is is there any final development on the option that does not include the D-ring or shackle arms? And lastly, I also am really wanting this to be as stealthy and hidden behind the stock bumper as possible. Has anyone done a write-up on this endeavor? I am very impressed with the awesome positive experiences I have read about and I plan on making this purchase within the month. Thanks!

I didn't know those bumper wings were even a thing. Nice!

I am very very close to announcing the release of the truly behind the bumper version. By the end of next week I should have it available to order. Got a few more details to work out. It will fit totally behind a stock bumper! I did include d-ring mounts that fit behind the bumper in case anyone wants to change bumpers later. They will also have tow hook mounts drilled and nut welded behind for those who wish to use them. Here’s a teaser pic. Behind the bumper one is on the left.

As far as a list of winches that fit, it would be difficult to compile with all the options out there. Basically any horizontal style with a detachable solenoid box up to 12k should fit. The harbor freight 12k fits if you remove the funky, spring loaded cable guide thingy. Max height is limited to 7”.

Just looking thru my previous posts, you can go a little over 7”, .25-.50” more.

The behind the bumper version is available now! Just email your name, address & phone to Badadfab@gmail.com and I can get shipping info and send you an invoice. Here are some more pics for ya.

Tucks in nice and tight! Puts the winch 1.5” further back than the original design.

If you decide to change out bumpers later, I’ve still incorporated dring mounts on this new version. It is also setup to bolt on tow hooks onto the bottom of the winch plate.

I wasn’t thinking of this as an update but as another option. A lot of people have asked for one that fits behind the stock bumper, so that was the goal with this version. This version does tuck in super tight tho.
